
Welcome to the Staunton Area Ambulance Services Billing Office website. We hope that this site will help answer some of the common questions regarding your ambulance bill. Please use the links below for information on Medicare, Illinois Public Aid (Medicaid) or Insurance. You can also click on the "Forms" button if you want to print forms to provide us with your insurance information. We have compiled a list of several commonly asked questions along with answers. at 401 Ash Street in Staunton, Illinois.

Please note that office staff is also on-call for the ambulance and subject to being called out.

Ambulance bills are usually sent out weekly.
Statements
are sent out monthly (usually near the end of the month) for accounts with
outstanding balances.
PUBLIC AID PATIENTS: All non-emergency transports must be preapproved by public aid. Please contact the billing office before the day of transport, so that we can get the preapproval. Any non-emergency transports that are not preapproved the patient with be responsible for the bill.
Payment receipts are mailed upon payment from Medicare or an Insurance Company.
If you do not have Medicare, Medicaid, or Insurance, please call our office to make payment arrangements.
THE
PATIENT REMAINS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BALANCE OF THE ACCOUNT UNTIL PAID IN FULL.
PROVIDED WITH THE PROPER INFORMATION, AS A COURTESY,
WE WILL SUBMIT YOUR CLAIM (USING A HCFA 1500 FORM) TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY.
IT IS THE PATIENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW UP WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY,
EVEN IF WE SUBMIT THE CLAIM.
IT
IS OUR POLICY THAT IF NO ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITHIN 90 DAYS, WE WILL
TURN THE ACCOUNT OVER TO OUR COLLECTION AGENCY. AT THIS TIME ADDITIONAL FEES
MAY BE ADDED TO THE ACCOUNT. AFTER THE ACCOUNT IS TURNED OVER TO A COLLECTION
AGENCY ALL CONTACT NEEDS TO BE MADE TO THE COLLECTION AGENCY.
